Michael Jackson has nearly always been dressed where he is completely covered since [around] the Thriller era. You may or may not notice in the rare occasion that Jackson has his wrists visible (most likely due to a button cuff of his shirt has been slightly opened). They are discolored because of vitiligo skin.
I’ve heard the “because he can’t bleach under the fingernails” one too many times, lol Black people have regular skin color underneath their nails like everyone else.

The skin color of a Vitiligo patient stays the same and rarely changes due to the illness, but other parts of the skin will be affected by discoloration.

You are a dermatologist? The skin color of a person with vitiligo changes because the auto-immune systems kill the melanocytes, which is what produces skin color. Flare ups can be caused by many things, including stress. I have this condition and I can assure you that at times you can almost see your skin depigment.

lol @ nail bleaching. actually his nails are not dark so it has nothing to do with nail bleaching, they’re just yellowish and splotchy. that’s strange, his nails always looked normal in other pictures (though he had vitiligo by then) yet it seems it’s only recently his nails have been discolored. maybe it’s just the glare of candid pap photos.
Re the nails: I’ve heard that if you’ve got a vitmain A deficiency that happens (MJ has a crap diet perhaps?)

When you really think about it it is only sick minds that continue to think that there has ever been anything sexual between Michael and children. It`s almost like a high for some people. I’ve always thought his nails were discolored because of the lupus…..that disease has many affects and may even be the reason for the lacefronts…in one of the lupus pics in part 2 or 3 he looks like he’s in pain…of maybe he just didn’t want to be there or something

Actually I was reading an interveiw Michael had, and he said he had read lots of baby books because he was so excited because he was going to have a son you know, probably just enjoy’s reading them because he has kids. A lot of parents do.
beca, you said the brown spots prove he has vitiligo, but vitiligo makes patches of WHITE skin. You can trust me on that fact, I have vitiligo. On me its a big long patch on the front of my leg.
Yes, it make patches of white skin. Meaning there would be black spots also. Trust, if he was skin bleaching, he would of been disfigured from burns.

I agree the picture of the kid seems odd, and placed in such a ‘convenient way’ and the spots, why do we not see them in other pictures, also the nails.. manipulating pictures like this is not a hard thing to do, just as a mention..

Also, from doing thorough research on both Lupus and Viltiligo, these pictures are concrete proof of both! Both the diseases (which have recently been linked as the same disease [I HATE the word 'disease'!!]) result in thinning of the skin and brittle nails due to the lack of sunlight and pigmentation.
I still think he’s one of the sexiest men on Earth and don NOT find his condition scary, like some narrow minded bigots.
I am a British caucasian woman and have been picked on in the past, for having birthmarks by my peers, I even have one on my eyeball! So I do understand to some extent the kind of prejudicial bulling that occurs with skin colour. And how abhorrent it is.
I also think that a person should be respected for the content of their character, not the colour of their skin!

My daughter is white and she developed Vitiligo 2 months ago after a sunburn it started with a couple spots now it is on 75% of her body. It can spread very quickly and it is different on people. She is 13 and having a hard time and she isn’t famous in the sptlight. I can only imagine what Michael had to live with always in the public eye.
