Gavin Arvizo: wild child or frail victim?

A disruptive, surly, mendacious teenager or a serial victim of some of life’s most heart-rending misfortune? These were the two pictures the trial presented of Gavin Anton Arvizo, Michael Jackson’s now 15-year-old accuser.
Born into a poor Latino family, Gavin lived with his parents, brother Star and sister Davellin in a rough, urban pocket east of downtown Los Angeles. Home was a box-like studio apartment.
According to the testimony of the Arvizos, Gavin’s father, David, abused the family for years, beating his wife, Janet, and the three children.
Then in 2000, aged 10, Gavin was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Doctors removed a 16lb tumour from his stomach along with his spleen and a kidney.
This, however, was how he encountered his idol, Michael Jackson, who rang him at the hospital one day after learning the boy was a huge fan.
During his testimony, Gavin recalled his shock and delight at the call. The pair became friends with Jackson inviting the family to Neverland. His fortunes appeared to have changed. But the relationship did not last and after a handful of visits Jackson ceased contact, Gavin recalled, somewhat bitterly.
Then in 2002, Jackson rang. Gavin said the singer told him: “You want to be an actor, right?. . . I’m going to put you in movies”. He took part in Martin Bashir’s documentary, Living With Michael Jackson. This was the first picture jurors saw of Gavin, a wan-looking 12-year-old holding hands with the singer and resting his head on Jackson’s shoulder while the star made his now infamous declaration: “the most loving thing to do is to share your bed with someone, you know?”.
Davellin described how her brother changed from outgoing and loving to distant.
On the witness stand Gavin at first cut a sympathetic figure, a crop-haired US Naval sea cadet who told the court how Jackson showed him pornography on his first trip to Neverland, nicknamed him Doo-Doo Head and gave him wine, vodka and rum. Early in 2003, the singer abused him on two occasions leaving him feeling “weird and embarrassed”, the boy said.
Many noted the similarities in appearance between Gavin and other “special friends” the prosecution alleged were abused by Jackson.
But under cross-examination Gavin grew argumentative. The defence painted him as a disruptive youth with behavioural problems, schooled by his mother to lie under oath for financial gain and pester celebrities for money. Witnesses told the court how Gavin and his brother ran wild at Neverland, helping themselves to alcohol and ogling pornography.
Trial observers found themselves torn between sympathy for the cancer survivor and exasperation at the venality of the entire Arvizo clan.
It`s really telling how far The Powers that be will go to destroy a person. Michael has become politically conscious and The Powers that be fear his enormous status worldwide. He`s a Billionaire who could use his enormous wealth to benefit his people and this is what The Powers that be fear. Hence,this conspiracy to destroy MJ started 15 years ago with the first allegations against him and has continued in many forms thereafter,including trying to take away his 50% ownership of The Beatles Catalog.

Michael has a personal relationship with none other than Min.Louis Farrakhan,who assisted him during his ordeal in 2003:and they have since spoken. Min.Farrakhan said as much when they spoke via telephone when Michael was in Bahrain. It`s not a big leap to assume during their encounters they talk Politics. Can you imagine such a conversation with The Minister dropping some serious knowledge?

There are two possible reasons why a man is nice to a child: he is a disgusting pedophile or he is actually a nice guy. Just because Michael Jackson fit many of the elements of the profile of a pedophile, does not make him guilty. It is reverse logic. If we condemn men for helping children or providing them with things, then society will discourage men from assisting in the care of children.

To be a pedophile, a person has to be able to put their sick wants/disires ahead of the child’s wellbeing. This is the element that does not fit from what I know about Michael Jackson. you are wrong! a child is that clever, there was a famous case in France called the outreau case in which many kids claimed they had been molested and it was false. it ruined the lives of several families and the judge who was stupid enough to believe the kids was dismissed. Furthermore even one year old kids love to touch, it is human nature, children are far from innocent and they love to spread rumours, they can be vicious just like adults, they do what they were told to do. In the beginning, I gave Gavin and his brother the benefit fo the doubt. Not because I thought Michael was guilty. I never believed for one second that Michael would do anything to harm any child. But, more because, I thought Gavin was being manipulated by his greedy mother.
Then, as I started to see Gavin’s true self after he made a complete recovery, I noticed that he was not a nice kid at all. He was just sick and needed some extra love while he was dealing with his illness.
Once he fully recovered, he showed who he really was, a mean, arrogant, nasty little boy. He may have not been old enough to come up with this plot to extort money from Michael, but he was certainly old enough to notice the nice life that Michael created for himself. When Gavin realized that, once he was fully recovered, he was going back to his crappy life, he started to feel entitled to Michael’s life. That alone would certainly be enough to motivate him to follow his greedy mother’s lead.
Michael was not mentally ill. He was one of the finest human beings that graced this earth. What he lacked was a radar that would allow him to detect toxic people that could harm him. Toxic people like the Arvizo clan.
The Arvizo boys, however, are evil. They did not tell the truth. They are not capable of telling the truth. They are the spawn of their evil, greedy, lazy, low life mother. They are demon seeds, that I am sure are ready and waiting for their next prey.

I was not a huge fan of michael jackson, and at first i honestly thought he did the crimes…. but if you look at the evidence and the other stars saying they had the same problem, it comes down to the fact that the boy was raised in a poor family, they couldnt afford his medical bills, and they were money hungry. Yes michael jackson may have looked a little odd and talked like a woman, but they used that against him! They knew that would be believeable, but you can look at him and his kids and tell how much he loved them, they had everything! The truth is that as a musician Michael Jackson as one of a kind, a diamond in the rough. He was the King of Pop and a definite asset to the entertainment community. I have no doubt that he will be remembered and loved by many. As a person Jackson was truly dispicable. The crimes he committed and his acquittal are symbolic of O.J. simpson. It was very clumsy but he just wanted to show the child despite the towel over the head and the railing of the balcony. But the child was never in danger, he hold it firmly and it went very quick. But all the time they show it, it is shown in slow motion to make it bigger than it was. And the fuzz they made about it is ridiculous. Everyday parents bring their children in traffic, eg in cars between trucks, on bikes, etc. Or children are put in high and dangerous attractions in amusement parks, or kept in places with dogs or other animals, or in rooms where people smoke, or get unhealthy food or just life in unhealthy and dangerous conditions and they make a fuzz and worldnews about this? Being raised in ELA myself in the 70’s and 80’s, blks. away from where the Arvizos lived on Soto Street, I know how tough and street wise kids in that area can be. I was one of those kids. I saw how kids would fool the authorites, teachers and parents. It was comical. You can really learn a lot from other kids. One thing I have to say though is that I don’t believe Gavin’s motive, at first, was money (that was the mother’s motive), I feel he believed that MJ was deserting him and I think the mother really played on that to get him to go along with her plan. Gavin had not heard from MJ for a very long time and according to Gavin, MJ kept changing his phone number so he couldn’t ever reach MJ. It was brought up in court that he was really upset about that. So it was probably easy for the mother to convince him that MJ didn’t care about him anymore. He was everything to him, and being a kid from ELA & coming from that kind of family environment, that can be devasting. Being his mother, she knows how to manipulate her son. I saw a couple of videos of Gavin & MJ and I could see the love and admiration in Gavin’s eyes when he would look at MJ and, as much as I dislike Gavin, for one brief moment I felt sad for him. I think his mother convinced him that MJ betrayed him. I can believe that a kid like him could be vindictive, but to be molested by a man that’s a hard pill for me to swallow.

Chandler, Gavin Arvizo and their family’s know the truth. I think we will see in the next few months that greed was the true motivation behind the molestation accusations.
No one is denying that Jackson slept with these children, he even says it himself, but the conditions, intentions, and circumstances in which the relationships with these children was reveled was wrong. The parents saw BIG payouts and ran with the frenzy but there is not enough money to buy back remorse and these kids will have to live with the fact that they helped destroy an Icon.

One thing people overlook is that Michael said Gavin wanted to sleep in his bed and he let him and “HE SLEPT ON THE FLOOR BESIDE THE BED”. Everyone just overlooks that.
There is a radio interview with two guys who worked for Sony and they talk about Michael’s legacy. It is a wonderful interview. Here is what was sad about Michael and his reasons for caring so much for children.

Pay this kid off and let’s keep moving.’ Second time he said, ‘You know what? All that did was make me look guilty, like I was hiding something. So this time there won’t be any payoffs. I’m going to fight this in court. You’ll see. I’ll be innocent.’
Right to the day when they finally had to read the verdict and the verdict was in, I talked to his family cause I remmber watching on the news, that Michael had 45 minutes to get there. So I spoke to some of his family members that were in the house with Michael. I said ‘Well, what the hell is he doing?’ He’s upstairs getting dressed. He came downstairs. He said a prayer with his family and he told everyone, ‘I want you guys not to worry about me because I will be ok.’
And he rode there, he had maybe a little nervous energy patting his feet, singing in the car and everything and he rode with his brother and his sister. But he wasn’t worried. I’ll tell you something, I would’ve been a mess. I don’t even know if I could have stood up in court like that.”

Don’t for get to mention, that the main reason Gavin and his family got over the hurdle of beating his cancer is because Michael so very generously helped them. He did this from the kindness of his heart. Paying for Gavin’s medical bills was generous enough, but to take them on trips and invite them to Neverland to get away from the daily stress of dealing with that kind of illness. That was more than anyone could ask a lifelong friend to do, let a lone a friend they just met.
No they had a lot of help. They didn’t do that by themselves. For that alone, they should be grateful. Michael didn’t owe Gavin anything more than friendship. It was Gavin’s parent’s responsibility to provide Gavin with the life he had grown accustom to.
If they could not do that, then it was their responsibility to teach their children to be grateful for someone’s kindness but, not to expect more than that. It was their responsibility to provide their children with what they wanted from life. If they couldn’t do that then it was their responsibility to teach their children that, it they wanted something out of life, they had to go out an work for it. No one owed them anything. They are responsible for themselves. Period!!!!!
I wasn’t a Mj fan and I’m sorry to say that I really discovered him after his death…I was born in 1988 so I’m not really from MJ generation, but I have short dear memories of his videos since I was little. After his death I realised how much he suffered and what a kind man he was. I done some research the past seven days, in which I saw movies with and about MJ, I read a lot, and my conclusion is that he’s not a child a molester and that people just wanted money, but I don’t know if they realised they were killing him little by little. After the trials he couldn’t sleep, eat and was really depressed. I really felt sorry for him and I hope the world in which he is now is a better place, because here on earth we made a living hell for him.

I say just leave the poor kids alone. Whether or not it happened (because it’s too hard to believe it didn’t happen, but way too controversial to say it did), they’re human too. Even if Michael Jackson was found guilty, I think everyone would still look up to him and believe in their hearts that he didn’t do it. MJ has DIEHARD fans, for real.
Michael was about unity and loving one another. If we really love him, we should follow what he preach, rather than hope those who have negatively affected his image burn in Hell.

I am a die hard fan, who can also deal with reality. I, along with many other die hard fans, also have brains, who, when faced with the truth, will not deny it.
I don’t love anyone that much to excuse bad behavior. If, I thought for one moment that Michael had commited this heinous crime, I would never support him, no matter how much I love him. But, all of the facts show, in both incidents, that Michael never touch those kids.

After all Michael did to help Gavin and his family and have him lie about him and ruin his life. His mother was held captive? Gavin and his whole family will have to answer to God one day for their lies. I don’t know how they live with themselves. They destroyed a wonderful man who tried to help Gavin when he was near death. He did so much for that family and they did their best to destroy him. Tell your good friends, Gavin and Star, that for me and the millions of people who loved Michael that they are the lowest of the low and what goes around, comes around.
i just read the suposed accusations this boy told of MJ, none of it even made sense, these people wanted money and thats that. just because a man shows interest towards children, why is it so wrong? maybe he just loves children, i love children, but being a woman that wouldnt look wrong would it? i admit he didnt do himself any favours, just wrong place-wrong time. he had no childhood, he wants to relive it.of course ud pay the people off, with his spotlight life, he doesnt need to court battles etc. many innocent people suffer in jail for years and years before finally being proved innocent, if they could, theyd pay people off too. none of the evidence made sense at all. im not even a big fan of MJ i kind of like his music, but i can tell innocence when i see it. I think Elizabeth Taylor described MJ best as “a 10 year old in a man’s body”. MJ said himself he never wanted to grow up. He learned early on that the world of adults was one of betrayal and deceit. He believed children, with all their innocence and purity of spirit, were the promise of a better future. And how ironic that it was two children who caused him so much pain with accusations. MJ was a big target for people who were after money…during the trial, 300 witnesses and 30 children testified, they searched MJ’s homes and a Las Vegas hotel suite, and yet, among ALL this testimony and close examination of all of his personal stuff, the police found NOTHING that indicated MJ had any deviant sexual interest in children. Kind of odd, don’t you think? They could find no DNA of Gavin Arviso in his bedroom. The only ‘testimony’ that was against MJ came from a few on his staff who were out for revenge, because they had lost a $16 million dollar lawsuit against him, and had been ordered to pay court costs. They were furious. Revenge anyone? And none of their stories held up under close examination. These trials were a farce. The judge and jurors knew it too. MJ was exonerated of all charges. As far as the settlement in the earlier, Chandler case, that was the work of MJ’s insurance company. MJ was against settling. Listen to the audio tape of the boy’s father talking about how he’s going to get all this money. Disgusting! He also gave his son a controversial drug to get him to confess. More than one doctor has noted that the drug makes the recipient highly subject to ’suggestions’. The list goes on. I don’t believe any of these charges and neither should you. But people do, because they believe what they hear in the media. Just because the media says things does not make them true. Stop and think for yourself next time and do your homework. Then you will realize MJ was innocent.

Michael was not gay. How many times did he have to say that? He and Lisa Marie had a very passionate marriage. After the divorce she tried to get back with him. She told Howard Stern in her interview with him that Michael satisfied her sexually. He dated Stephanie Mills who played Dorothy in The Wiz on Broadway. Her radio interview is on Youtube. When asked about Michael, she said he was “all man” and she thought they would marry. During the trial they presented heterosexual sex books that Michael had in his possession. I have good friends that are gay and they would have zero interest looking at naked women. I think it is terrible that Ian Halperin would write that. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised at what anyone will do for money.

I think the rumors about Michael being gay are just that, rumors. I am very good at sensing if someone is gay or not, and I did not pick up on any gay tendencies from Michael.

the fact that he did well in his studies shows that he is not traumatized . He wouldn’t do so well if he had been molested.
I know I should not hate Gavin but, I do.
Of course, he is not to blame for the extortion plot because he was still a child but, as I watch him grow into his own person, I don’t believe he is a good person at heart.
He seemed to be a nice kid during his illness but, that was because he needed people. Now that things are back to normal, his true personality seems to be insincere, uncaring and arrogant.
Maybe I should give him more time to grow and see the error of his ways but, I have a deep feeling that that will never happen.
I didn’t over look it beagleladywv. I caught that right away. And, that made perfect sense to me because, that is exactly what I would do. Whenever a friend wanted to stay over at my place and I didn’t have an extra bed. I would give them my bed and I would take the floor. That was how I was raised. When you have guest, you offer them the best of what you have. I am perfectly capable of making myself comfortable on the floor. That was the only thing that was on my mind whenever I would make that offer.
