  • Just because something that just has been released is extremely good, doesn’t mean other and/or older movies [of that particular franchise] has to be condemned and bashed. If you liked The Dark Knight, it makes you obnoxious to go on and dis every pre-Nolan Batman film or even go so far to bash other superhero movies that had high critical acclaim at the time of it’s release (Spider-Man). In other words, don’t be an asshole. All of a sudden they’re “crappy movies”? A multibillion franchise worldwide breaking box office records consecutively over the course of 6 years with critically acclaimed reviews and audiences are now “crappy” because you like a new Batman movie.
  • Assuming the reasoning of critic’s reviews is pointless and generalizations are moronic. I.e., negative reviews from a few New Yorker critics doesn’t reflect every New Yorker’s opinion. Nor does that mean they/we liked the Spider-Man films better, or bitter jellus fatties, or whatever you make up to justify your distaste for someone else’s critique on a movie that doesn’t even matter.
  • Now — I think the main problem is,  people try to get so far up the ass of Nolan and the new franchise that they start badmouthing the Burton films + other Superhero films which re-defined the representation of Batman in popular media. There is nothing “better” but there is a “favorite”. There’s none that is more “realistic” only a different interpretation of the character.
  • Speaking of badmouthing other superhero movies for the sake of uplifting another film (that is excellent on it’s own merit and that sort of tactic is childish and unnecessary) bashing Spider-Man 3 is getting old and redundant. And to be honest, it’s no where near as bad as people make it out to be. It wasn’t Spider-Man 2 quality, but it is not the atrocity fanbois and the general public’s perception.
  • When Jack Nicholson is all of sudden is spoken about like an untalented actor who hasn’t not paid his dues for as long as he’s been in movies unanimously [because you like the new Joker] you should lay down and take a rest.
  • If another new franchise comes out possibly exceeds The Dark Knight, this cycle will continue on and you’ll all change your minds again and start the belittlement of TDK. Kind of like how many fanbois in 2006 thought casting Heath Ledger as The Joker was an awful horrendous the-world-is-going-to-end time in cinema history. Everyone wanted Johnny Depp at the time. But now all of a sudden, Johnny Depp is an overrated actor and shouldn’t be near any Batman film evar. EVAR!!!!!!111111
  • I’m sick and tired of all these noobs who seen the movie and think they’re Batman experts now. All these idiots running around spewing Joker quotes (quoting them wrong by the way) declaring themselves “experts” yet when I’d mention if they took part of the viral marketing they look at me like I’m speaking Greek.”What verbal marketing?”
  • Michael Keaton bashing? Just stop it. Batman 1989 and Batman Returns may now be seen as “dated” or even hokey, but for it’s time, it was AMAZING. Had it not been for [director] Tim Burton, there couldn’t be a Batman Begins or a Dark Knight.
